ROSKILDE TABLETENNIS VS BORUSSIA DÜSSELDORF

At the draw of the quarterfinal in Champions League, Roskilde Table Tennis BTK 61 drew the strong team, Borussia Düsseldorf. They will meet at Roskilde Table Tennis' home ground Friday the 29th of January at 19.30 and they will play the return match Friday the 12th of February 2010.

Düsseldorf won Champions League last year and is top seeded. On the team they have Timo Boll, who is number four on the world ranking list and has won the European Championship several times. He has been the strongest player in Europe during the last five to six years, and Maze's worst competitor until the European Championship in 2009. Furthermore, Christian Süss and Seiya Kishikawa will participate. Süss is number 32 on the world ranking list and has won the European Champion for the team in double several times. Kishikawa is from Japan and number 30 on the world ranking list.

Maze: "It is going to be a big challenge, which I am looking very much forward to. We have the team that can beat them all and against Düsseldorf we will play against Europe's best team. It is important, that we are all are ready on the day and that we get a great support, when we meet them on home ground the 29th of January.

With the right attitude, we hope and believe that we have a chance to beat Düsseldorf. Both Oh Sang Eun and Michael Maze have shown that they can beat Timo Boll in the important games. The winner of the quarter final meets the winner of Niederösterreich, Austria, and Sterilgarda, Italy.
